Part One

Nicki went to move an arm to stretch as she woke up but came to a halt when she felt pressure around her body. She slowly lowered her arm and wrapped her hand around the leg that was pressed into her stomach. She ran her hand along the leg and knew right away that it was Sheldon. She opened her eyes to see him right in her face, with his mouth hanging open while sleeping. If he had made one more adjustment in the bed, his face would slide right up to hers, leaving their noses touching. She looked pass him to see Caleb sprawled out on the other side of the bed with his legs slanted in her direction. She knew then that it was his toes that she felt on her leg. She arched her back for a second at the pressure pressed into her back before slumping her body again and noticing the pressure hadn't changed. She tilted her head up and turned her head to look over and behind her. She spotted Patrice's hair and stopped moving her body knowing that it was Patrice's face pressed into her back.

Safaree walked closer to the bed while rocking India. He looked up with a smirk on his face as he made eye contact with Nicki. Nicki scooted in the bed just a little to roll from her side to her back. Her eyes bucked and she held still when the small movement she made set off a chain reaction. Caleb's legs moved around until his feet were tucked in her legs like always and Sheldon began squirming. His head slid on the pillow and he buried his face in the side of her neck. She darted her eyes over as Patrice's face slammed into her arm. She looked up as Safaree moved closer to the bed.

“Happy mother's day.”

He turned the baby girl in his arms and leaned over Patrice. Nicki held her arms up as Safaree placed the baby in her arms. Nicki adjusted in the bed causing everyone around her to adjust as well so that they were back in their comfortable spots. Nicki peered down at India as she squirmed around until she was nice and cozy on her breast.

“Did you do this?”

Nicki questioned as she glanced to both sides to see the kids surrounding her.

“I didn't do anything.”

Nicki stared down at Patrice's head for a few seconds until Safaree's movement caught her attention.

“Can you fit?”

She looked to the left and over the boys to see how much space was left on the bed.

“I could if I wanted to but I have something to prepare.”

“What?”

“You're asking too many questions.”

“Babe.”

Nicki whined while lifting a head. She stopped moving when India's arm shot up. She laid her head back when India's hand fell back down.

“Give me a hint.”

“You don't get a hint today.”

He stood at the foot of the bed and held up his phone.

“Smile.”

He demanded as he held the phone in position trying to keep the good angle while Nicki tilted her head back, avoiding the camera.

“Come on, woman. Smile.”

“I just woke up, Faree.”

“This is a cute moment.”

“My hair is everywhere and my face isn't done up.”

“You're beautiful.”

She looked towards the camera and he quickly snapped the photo.

“That one was for me. Smile for this next one.”

Nicki gave a soft smirk and Safaree took the picture.

“Good enough.”

“Are you sending that out?”

“I may or may not have just tweeted it.”

“Bring me my phone.”

He walked over to the nightstand and grabbed her phone. She stroked India's back while holding her free hand out for her phone. Safaree gave her the phone and turned to head out of the room.

“How long are you going to lay there?”

“Until I'm allowed to move.”

“Oh. When they all wake up.”

“It won't be long. I have early birds. Two out of four anyway.”

She giggled as she referred to her boys being her early birds.

“Your girls had an early start. They have some making up to do.” He spoke as he leaned against the door, staring back at the bed. “She called mad early for me to come pick her up from Laura's.”

Nicki looked over at Patrice again.

“Well now I really feel special. I usually have to grab the spread and flip this one out of bed.”

“I guess she wanted to beat you waking up.”

“She did that.” Nicki spoke again while still staring at Patrice. “Send me that picture.”

“Get it yourself.”

“Faree.”

“Tell the barbs to send it to you. I've got a schedule to keep. I didn't expect you to wake up this early.”

“You know I wake up early.”

“I thought you would sleep in today swearing you're supposed to be spoiled.”

“I am.”

“Can I get started?”

“Where's my love?”

“You trying to get me punched?”

He questioned while walking back across the room and pausing to look down at Patrice before leaning across her. Nicki puckered her lips and smiled as Safaree gave her a quick peck. He gave her another kiss before speaking.

“One for each seed.”

He gave her another then pulled away while looking down to make sure he wasn't bumping Patrice.

“One for saying yes?”

“No better wife in the world.”

He leaned over Patrice one more time this time kissing Nicki longer than the others. Nicki stared at him as he pulled away and tucked his phone in his pocket.

“Call me if you need anything.”

He chuckled as he walked toward the door. Nicki looked from left to right then down at India.

“I might as well go back to sleep.”

Safaree walked out of the room leaving Nicki laid in the bed surrounding by sleeping bodies that he knew wouldn't be moving any time soon so she could get free. He stopped at the end of the hall to pick up Patrice's gym bag that was sitting against the wall. He turned and headed opposite of the hall to go put it up in her room. He made his way back down the hall again, peeping into the bedroom to see Nicki's hand resting on India's back while she wrapped up a call with her mother. He headed down the hall again to get to the kitchen. He stopped when he saw Patrice's purse on the island.

“Alright, Onika.”

He shook his head as he snatched it up and walked to the living room to sit it on the couch. He made his way back to the kitchen clearing the counter so that he could get started.

“Yo.”

Safaree frowned while holding his arms out for India as she looked at his hands then cried harder. Patrice adjusted her in her arms and rocked her softly trying to get her to calm down.

“She's knows it's my day.” Nicki grinned while walking out of the bathroom tugging her shirt. “Isn't that right mommy's bug? Hey bug.”

She walked up to Patrice and leaned over India. “Hey mommy's bug.” She kicked off her pink slippers and glanced around the room.

“I'll find them. Just please make her stop.” Patrice spoke up while handing India over. “I'm not here for you acting funny, Pie.”

“It's mommy's day. Not sister's day.”

Nicki teased as she held India up, blowing her kisses before resting her in her favorite spot. She looked down at India and smiled as she hushed and rested one hand on the opposite breast from where her head was resting. Nicki poked at her hand and smiled harder when India wrapped her small hand around her finger.

“Come on mommy. Your presents.”

“I have presents?!”

Nicki pretended to be surprised as Caleb stood at the door rushing her out of the bedroom.

“Don't rush her, boy. Let her take her time and enjoy her day.”

Patrice walked back over holding a pair of fluffy slippers. She dropped them in front of Nicki's feet and Nicki thanked her as she slid her feet into them.

"It's so late. Like I don't understand how you all can just sleep in this long. We should have been up and moving about hours ago. It's not time for breakfast anymore."

She sped up to get to the door while looking down at Caleb whose eyes were still rushing her. He turned and ran off. She looked up at Safaree who was shaking his head as Caleb's feet sounded off as usual because he was always running instead of walking. Nicki looked back as she turned out of the door in unison with Safaree to see Sheldon holding on to Baby's arm and standing on one of her feet. He giggled every time she took a step with that leg, carrying him along with her.

Nicki leaned into Safaree as they walked down the hall and he put an arm around her. She smiled when she spotted the table in the living room set up nicely.

"Aww..." She stepped up to the table looking over the two vases full of pink roses, four teddy bears, three cards, and a basket full of her favorite things she loved to have around on a lounge day. She sat on the couch and starred at the table not wanting to touch anything because it was set up so perfect. She looked over when Safaree walked around the couch with a tray.

"Where do you want this? Here or the kitchen?"

"Are you guys eating with me? I'm not eating unless we eat together."

"To the kitchen."

She smiled as she slid to the edge of the couch then stood up. She looked down at India who was occasionally opening her eyes to see what she was missing.

"Are you going to let mommy eat? Hmm, ladybug?" She stared down at India hoping she would spare her arms for at least ten minutes. "Mommy let you eat. You got so full, you gave some of it back to mommy."

Nicki adjusted the baby girl in her eyes and supported her with one arm. She smiled as Safaree sat the tray down and she slid into the chair in front of it.

"Oh wow. I want this toaster strudel first!" She spoke in a chipper tone as she picked up the fork and went for the toaster strudel knowing that was all Caleb. He pulled at the seat next to her until it was closer then climbed into it and watched her take the first bite of the part of the breakfast he contributed to. She looked over the heart shaped waffles and smiled as everyone began taking seats at the table. She looked around at the other plates.

"You almost had me thinking I was meant to eat alone."

"We know better." Safaree spoke up while pointing at India. "I was just teasing by bringing the tray to you."

Nicki dramatically sighed of relief when India didn't object to leaving her arms. She watched Safaree make his way around the table to his seat.

"This is so beautiful. I love you guys. I love my babies. I really do. No one understands how much."

She held her fork over the plate moving from one food to the next not sure where she wanted to start.

"I know these waffles was you, Baby. Had to be my little creative one."

"I did the toaster strudel!"

Caleb spoke up while pointing at it.

"I know! I can tell because you put the icing on so perfectly! Thank you, PaPa."

She finally chose to taste the eggs first and looked up to see all eyes focused on her.

"You got me something good, PaPa?"

"Yeah. I made it."

"You made it?"

"Yes. You want me to go get it?"

He asked excited as he slid out of his chair.

"No, mommy wants it when we're done with breakfast."

He climbed back in the chair and picked up his fork to start eating.

"You made me something too, Munch?"

He shook his head no as he stuffed a piece of sausage in his mouth.

"Oh, you bought me something?"

"No."

"Well what did you do for me?"

"Nothing."

He looked up at her with a look on his face that told everyone he misunderstood the question.

"No, babe. I'm not saying you did something bad. What did you get mommy for mother's day?"

He shook his head yes as he pushed his personal fork out of the way and picked up a piece of waffle with his fingers. She laughed at the fail of holding conversation with him while food is around and went to taste the waffles then looked up at Patrice.

“What did you make me for mother's day because I know you ain't think you was gonna fly with these waffles?”

“All this love I give you and this is the thanks I get?”

Nicki cut her eyes at Patrice and twitched her lip. “Faree, put this one out.”

--

Nicki sat starring into the box of chocolate covered strawberries that she prematurely found when she went into the refrigerator to get something. She looked over the strawberries trying to decide on which one she wanted while Sheldon stood close by waiting to get one. She handed him the smallest one then concentrated on which one she wanted once again.

"This is really cute, Baby. You have your little box with a logo on it and everything. You should sell these."

"That's why I have a logo."

Nicki pouted and cut her eyes at Patrice.

"I thought this was something special for me."

"It is. That's not on all of my boxes. Yours is special. Yours matches your other stuff."

"There's more?!"

Baby pushed the top down so that Nicki could get another look at the logo. Nicki watched her get up and go over to the refrigerator. She went into a drawer and pulled out a similar box and made her way back to the table.

"That box is just an extra box. This one is yours."

She pushed the first box to the side and slid the second one in front of Nicki. Nicki looked over the  personalized mother's day message added to the box.

"I'm special! Yay!" Nicki cheered not at all surprised as she opened the second box Patrice handed her.

“What are these?”

“What?”

“The strawberries look all bedazzled.”

“Oh.” Patrice said as she leaned over trying to see what Nicki was talking about. “Those are the pearls!”

“Are they edible?”

“Yes.”

“All I needed to hear.”

Nicki quickly responded as she held a strawberry up to her mouth and took a big bite. She peered down at India as she chewed.

“You're not ready for any good stuff like this yet, babe.”

She held the strawberry over India's lips and dabbed her bottom lip. She laughed as India's tongue darted out to lick her lip tasting the sweet flavor.

“I like that mommy.” Nicki spoke up speaking for India. “Give me some more of that good stuff you called it mommy. Give me some more.”

Nicki giggled as she dabbed the strawberry at India's lips again, laughing at how India darted her tongue out earlier to lick the strawberry. Nicki ate the rest of the strawberry then tossed the hull into the corner of the box before picking up another strawberry.

“How did you get this crème to look like pearls?”

Nicki questioned Patrice before taking a bite of the second strawberry. She spun the strawberry around while examining it and admiring the neat decoration of the chocolate and dotted crème that she knew all too well.

“Is it some more of this?”

She held the strawberry up before licking the crème off.

“How do you know what it is?”

“Trust me, I know this chilled crème when I taste it. Question is how did you know to use it.”

“I'm psychic.”

“Oh okay.”

Nicki replied dryly before eating the rest of the strawberry. She screwed up her face when she looked at Sheldon spitting pieces of the hull out.

“Munch, spit into this napkin. Just spitting in my floor like you have no brain.”

He stuck his fingers in his mouth and pulled out another piece of the hull.

“You don't eat that part, Munch.”

She tossed her hull into the box next to the other one and reach out to catch Sheldon's hand before he threw his in the box. He looked up at her as he placed it in the napkin then leaned over it to spit again. Nicki looked over at Patrice when she heard her laughing.

“Is it time for more presents?”

Caleb asked impatiently because he was anxious to give his mom his gift. Sheldon began cheering.

“It's my birthday.”

Patrice laughed louder as she rolled over on the couch.

“It's not your birthday, boy. It's for your mama.” Safaree spoke up looking at Sheldon crazy.

“Presents.”

“Yeah, presents but not for you.”

Safaree spoke up as he stood up to go retrieve the gifts.

“Mommy's presents.”

He cheered still obviously excited. Nicki began cheering with him hyping him up.

“I'll help.”

Caleb yelled out as he slid off of the chair next to Nicki and pushed his dad's leg out of the way. Nicki pointed a finger at him and made a face as she made her way over to the couch to take a seat next to Patrice.

“Those strawberries are good, Baby. Thank you.”

She leaned back into the couch to meet Patrice's face. They smiled at each other until Sheldon walked up between them eating another strawberry.

“You stealing my strawberries boy?”

Nicki accusingly drilled Sheldon.

“Yes.”

Nicki's jaw dropped and she quickly looked over at Patrice who was shaking her head like she couldn't take much more.

“You have been laughing all morning.”

“He just admitted to stealing.”

“Goofball.” Nicki stated as she stared at the side of Patrice's face as she laughed so hard a tear rolled down her face. “Are you high?”

Patrice squealed and Sheldon started laughing at her laugh.

“Safaree! I think Baby is high!” Nicki yelled out and looked down at India who jumped when she heard the loud voice. “Oop. Mommy's sorry. I'm trippin? You trippin, mommy. Yelling in my ear like you crazy. I sowwy, bug.”

Nicki poked her lip out as she stared at India lying peacefully.

“You can't get enough sleep during the day, huh? But when mommy wants to sleep, you don't know what closing your eyes is.”

Nicki tilted her head back when she heard Caleb's feet running down the hall. She gasped when he stepped in view holding a poster that was as big as he was.

“Happy mother's day!”

He yelled cheerfully as Safaree finally let him be great.

He moved around the couch and peeped around the oversized card to see where he was going. He placed it right in front of his mom and jumped out to the side in a tada stance. He frowned when the card fell back. He caught it and held it up, slowly moving his hands away from it making sure it didn't fall again.

“Happy mother's day mommy.” Nicki read the front of the card. Caleb grabbed the side and looked up at her with big eyes.

“Open it?”

“Open it!”

He pulled the card open as he walked pass it. She gasped and leaned forward when she saw the many pictures of mostly her and Caleb. She looked over a couple of pictures of her with Caleb and Sheldon. She assumed Caleb was being stingy and didn't want Sheldon included in his gift. She held her hand up to her mouth as her eyes landed on each photo, triggering a memory. Sheldon walked over to Safaree and walked back up to her holding up a single rose and a plaque with a mother poem engraved on it.

“It's your birthday.”

Nicki laughed as she took the plaque and sat it to the side before grabbing his face.

“Thank you, Munch. I love you so much.” She pulled him closer and kissed him. “Both of my boys. I love you so so so much.”

She reach out for Caleb and he ran up to her and kissed her on the chin. Nicki glanced over when she felt Patrice's hands. She loosened her hold on India and allowed Patrice to get her so that she could embrace Caleb and Sheldon in a hug. When she leaned back on the couch, she noticed Safaree's arm. She tilted her head and looked up at him before following his arm and looking at the box in his hand. She grinned while grabbing it and holding it as if she didn't want to be too quick to open it.

“Read this to me while I open this one.”

Nicki demanded as she picked up the plaque and handed it over to Patrice. She slowly pulled the top up and sat it to the side then reach into the box as she listened to Patrice reading the poem. She pulled out a ring box and placed the box beside her. She looked back at Safaree as she lifted the top. Gliding her finger across the ring, she looked over at Patrice as the poem came to an end. She smiled and pulled the ring out to get a better look. She admired the gold band that was decorated with stones. She felt the tears coming when she counted the fifth stone. She lifted a hand and held it still. Safaree leaned his face into her hand and she tilted her head back to kiss him.

“Thank you.”

“Whatever you want to do today.”

“I just want to stay home and spend this day with my babies.”

“I knew you would say that.” She stood up behind the couch. “That's why your mom is coming to you.”

“Yes.” Nicki threw her hand in the air to celebrate.

“Later today.”

She groaned as her hand slowly fell down.

“You do that on purpose.”

She said dryly as Safaree folded his arms across his chest and looked over at Patrice.

“Do what?”

He asked trying to hold his laugh while Patrice snickered.

“Shut up. I'm tired of you laughing all morning.” Nicki reach over and popped Patrice on the forehead before sitting up on the edge of the couch as she slid on her new ring. She looked over at Patrice with a serious look on her face. "I thought you said I had more stuff from you."

"Oh, yeah."

"Oh, yeeeeah." Nicki mocked Patrice while watching her stand up to walk off.
